Introductory diploma (30 ECTS)
The introductory diploma in Arabic, Chinese and Russian
The introductory diploma is offered to beginners in Modern Standard Arabic, Chinese, and Russian. It is also suitable for students who need to refresh their language skills before starting a bachelor’s program, which requires a level equivalent to a good secondary school level for a foreign language.
The diploma program takes one year and is worth 30 ECTS credits.

Intensive diploma (60 ECTS)

The Intensive Diploma in Arabic
The Intensive Diploma in Arabic is a one-year Inalco diploma. Successful completion qualifies students to enroll in the second year of a bachelor’s program. This is a very demanding course. It is entirely evaluated through continuous assessment and regular attendance is essential. The workload is estimated at 50 to 60 hours a week, including face-to-face time. No other study or occupation is possible during the year.Intensive Diploma in Russian
This diploma is designed for highly motivated beginners who wish to devote themselves exclusively to the study of Russian for one year. Successful completion of the year’s study is equivalent to completing the first year of a bachelor’s program in Russian.Language and Culture Diploma (DLC), levels 1, 2, 3 and 4
The DLC 1, 2 and 3 correspond to the three years of a bachelor’s program, and DLC 4 to the first year of a master’s program. In this course of study, each year leads to the award of a diploma. The DLCs replace the former Inalco diplomas as follows: DLC1 replaces the certificate, DLC2 replaces the practical diploma, DLC3 replaces the diplôme avancé, and DLC4 replaces the diplôme approfondi.

Professional Diploma in International Business and an Oriental Language (60 ECTS)
The Diplôme professionnel de commerce international et langue orientale (DPCILO) prepares students with a LLCER bachelor’s degree and mastery of an Eastern European, Asian or African language in one year for entry into the CPEI master’s program.
Cultural Communication Magistère
This program is suspended for 2018-2019.
This magistère takes two years and is worth 60 ECTS per year. Courses run from mid-September to the end of March. After that, students complete a professional internship.
Please note: This is not a master’s degree, but a five-year diploma awarded by Inalco. Master’s-Magistère equivalence: the Mag-C2I magistère is a professional diploma specific to Inalco and awarded in Inalco’s name. It does not automatically qualify students to move into a master’s degree program. Specific tuition fees apply.
