 Parus de 1977 à 1992, ces Cahiers ont publié des articles, des traductions, des comptes rendus, des bibliographies concernant les langues, les littératures, les civilisations de cette région aux multiples aspects mais à l’unicité historiquement, économiquement et stratégiquement marquée face aux mondes chinois, indien et à la zone pacifique.
 Cette région occupe une place de plus en plus importante dans l’évolution du monde contemporain (408 millions d’habitants, 10 États).

From 1977 to 1992, this journal published articles, translations, reports, bibliographies of the languages, literatures and civilisations of this many-faceted but historically unique region, which is economically and strategically distinct from the Chinese, Indian and Pacific areas. This region occupies an increasingly important place in the evolution of the contemporary world (408 million inhabitants, 10 countries).
