Annika Haas is an Estonian photographer who captures the soul of Estonia's minority cultures. Her photographs invite us to encounter small cultural communities scattered throughout the country. The visual journey begins on the edge of Tallinn airport, amidst Soviet-era shacks where the last inhabitants dream of a better future, while the shadow of airplanes passes over their houses destined for demolition.

Annika Haas's lens then moves to the shores of Lake Paipsi, in eastern Estonia, among the Russian-speaking Old Believers. Finally, she delves into the daily life of the Estonian Roma community in the south of the country. The photographer's sensitive eye opens a window onto Estonia's hidden worlds.
