The Centre de recherche Moyen-Orient Méditerranée (CERMOM) is pleased to announce that the Demiourgos project, "Figures du Démiurge. Étude sur les modalités créatrices entre théorie, art et praxis", is the winner of the Casa de Velázquez-Universidad Autónoma de Madrid call for projects.

Awarded 8,000 euros, the project developed by Yassir Mechelloukh (PhD student at Inalco attached to CERMOM and SPHERE, scientific member of Casa de Velázquez) and by Luca Pitteloud (Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the Federal University of ABC in São Paulo (Brazil) and María Zambrano Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) will be carried by the latter and by Jean-Baptiste Brenet (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne - GRAMATA/SPHERE).

Conceived from an interdisciplinary perspective, it will include between fifteen and twenty researchers from European universities and institutions (France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium), the Maghreb (Morocco, Tunisia) as well as the USA and Brazil. The Demiourgos project will be conducted for a period of two years, starting in January 2023 and ending in December 2024.
