What does "getting involved" mean?

Getting involved means helping to build the society we want to live in, in a spirit of openness, solidarity and responsibility. This commitment enables students to develop the skills, knowledge and aptitudes they have acquired alongside their university education, and prepares them for their professional integration (valuation on a CV, for example).

For several years now, higher education establishments have been developing various schemes for valuing commitment and all the extra-academic activities of students. Inalco recognizes these skills with the UE engagement étudiant, which enables credits to be obtained or notification in the descriptive appendix to the diploma.

Who is concerned?

  • Students elected to one of the institution's governing bodies.
Students who are already involved in community life or who wish to embark on a community adventure.
Students accompanying students with special status (disabled, high-level athletes, ...) during their university course.
Students carrying out a civic service mission that is not validated as an internship in their course.
Who are in licence 1, licence 2 or licence 3 and have no debts*
*Debt = teaching not validated the previous year

During the 2nd semester, they will benefit from 3 specific workshops

- Workshop 1: Valuing your skills : Learn how to present the skills and competencies developed during the missions carried out during the UE Engagement
- Workshop 2: Preparing for an interview and presenting your project: Learn how to prepare for an interview, to understand the different stages in order to know how to present yourself and be able to answer questions succinctly and effectively.
- Workshop 3: create a slide show.
