Research Connect optimizes the search for funding using several criteria:

• Researcher profile/experience
• Discipline
• The type of funding sought (e.g., for conferences)

Information can also be filtered by: closing date, discipline, type of funding, amount, source, researcher status/profile. Identified calls are presented in summary form: general information, description of funding, eligibility criteria, notes, general conditions, latest projects selected, application procedure, documents and links, calls related to funding, application submission address, Internet address of source sites. The tool enables notes to be shared, as well as the creation of alerts and newsletters.

It is available online without software installation. The tool currently only offers calls for projects written in English; there are plans to extend the sources to calls for projects written in other languages, including French.
