Career prospects at the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons

This conference will provide an opportunity to discover the missions ofthe Ofpra, the professions performed there - in particular that of protection officer - as well as recruitment procedures and career prospects within this key establishment of the French asylum system.

The Ofpra is a public administrative establishment created by the law of July 25, 1952.

In charge of applying the Geneva Convention relating to the Status of Refugees of July 28, 1951, then the New York Convention of 1954, it makes independent decisions on applications for asylum and stateless status submitted to it.
