Chansigne is an emblematic art of deaf cultures, transposing music into Sign Language. The International Visual Theatre offers a unique immersion in this creative universe through a cycle of workshops combining musical exploration and LSF interpretation techniques.

Pedagogical objectives

  • Exploring techniques specific to chansigne
  • Immersing oneself in a text to propose an interpretation in LSF
  • Feeling the musical rhythm and transposing it into the body
  • Finding one's own chansigne style

Content

  • Approach to rhythm and music through the body
  • Expressive techniques in LSF adapted to the musical universe
  • Individual and collective work from a song text
  • Exercises in staging and interpretation

At the end of these sessions, you'll be able to sing a song!

The sessions will take place every Monday from 5pm to 7pm from February 2 to April 13, 2026:

  • From February 2 to March 9 inclusive, at Sorbonne Nouvelle campus Nation (room to be announced)
  • From March 16 to April 13, in room 5.12 at the Pôle des langues et civilisations (Inalco).

Attendance at all sessions is compulsory.
