Teachings

Supposed to vary according to the profile of the selected candidate:

The department has a strong need for research supervision, and for CEs likely to ensure program preparation and coordination of courses and teaching teams. It therefore wishes to open a PU position in Japanese language (didactics, linguistics, applied linguistics) and literature.

The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of pedagogical tools, possibly digital. Competence in ICTE is desirable.

He/she will be able, depending on his/her specialist discipline, to carry out part of his/her service in cross-disciplinary teaching in the department or in cross-disciplinary teaching at the bachelor's and master's levels of INALCO.

He/she will be expected to teach in English.

The candidate will be expected to be involved in the life and workings of the department, in the development of training courses, and in the supervision of students.

Depending on his/her specialties, the recruited teacher-researcher will be able to join an Inalco team of his/her choice, including:

The IFRAE wishes to recruit a teacher-researcher specializing in Japan in the field of Japanese language and literature. Special consideration will be given to specialists in the following disciplines or fields: didactics, linguistics, applied linguistics and Japanese literature. Candidates should have a high scientific level and be involved in national and international research networks. A relevant research project in line with Ifrae's existing lines of research is expected. An interest in East Asian issues (China, Korea, Mongolia, Nepal, Tibet, Vietnam) is essential, as is a taste for teamwork and scientific leadership.
