MOOC "Arabic Language Contact Kit": registration now open!

The "oriental language contact kit": Arabic
The training is organized around simple tasks referenced in level A1 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
At the end of the training, you will be able to greet in a simple way, introduce yourself (identity, address and telephone number, profession, origin, activity), understand and request similar information from your interlocutors; fill in a simple form with name, address, nationality and marital status; ask for directions, how to get around, use basic politeness formulas wisely; book a room and place an order at a café, restaurant; make a purchase.
The MOOC also emphasizes the cultural dimension knowledge of which is essential for making contact with a speaker while respecting and understanding their codes and values.

What you'll learn
By the end of this course, you'll know how to:

- make a purchase.
You'll also learn to write and read Arabicthanks to the training offered in the graphic system.
Format
The MOOC lasts ten weeks, one week of induction and five weeks of training, plus an additional four weeks to make your approach more flexible, with a daily work program divided into three parts (modern Arabic, Syrian-Lebanese, learning the alphabet).
Videos include situational dialogues and oral and written exercises, with quizzes to check your progress. The forum will welcome you at all times. Accompanying resources will provide socio-cultural information, explanations of the language system, and a lexicon to which you can constantly refer, containing common terms and expressions.
Evaluation and Certification
Self-correcting exercises are offered in the videos. Tests throughout the week allow you to assess yourself and prepare for the final certification exam, should you decide to enroll and take it. This certification can be obtained by successfully passing a distance learning exam. It has university recognition (4 European ECTS credits).
