Application for the Special Study Program (RSE)

Below you will find the guidelines and the form to fill out to submit an RSE request (specifically, a request for an exemption from class attendance and ongoing assessment). Requests are submitted once per semester.

This form must be completed starting September 1, 2026, and sent to View e-mail, along with the required documents, by October 4, 2026 (11:59 p.m.), at the latest. 

Please note: The Special Study Program (RSE) applies exclusively to students enrolled in a national degree program or an institutional degree program, excluding intensive degree programs.

The following are not eligible for the RSE:

  • students enrolled in an intensive degree program or in a program delivered entirely online
  • students enrolled under an apprenticeship contract
  • continuing education trainees

The RSE does not apply to internships, tutoring, theses, or supervised projects.

Students enrolled in two or more programs at INALCO are eligible for the RSE for only one of those programs. A program taken at an institution other than INALCO may be considered only if it is a degree-granting program at a higher education institution in France.

Requests for accommodations for students with disabilities must be addressed through a specific support plan (PAEH).
