Résumé

To mark the fifth anniversary of the passing of János Kornai, INALCO is organizing a special conference dedicated to his intellectual legacy and the continuing relevance of his work.

Over the course of two hours, internationally renowned scholars will present the main theoretical foundations developed by János Kornai, examine their influence on contemporary economic thought, and discuss how his theories can help address the major economic and institutional challenges of the twenty-first century.

This event offers a unique opportunity to pay tribute—both scientifically and personally—to one of the leading figures in modern economic thought while fostering discussion on the transformation of contemporary economic systems.
