American Images, is the first retrospective devoted to Dutch artist Dana Lixenberg. The exhibition explores over thirty years of demanding, deeply human work: Lixenberg delicately interrogates the myths of the American dream. Her portraits constitute a counter-narrative to the dominant representations of America - a gaze whose topicality remains striking.
