La Fabrique de la diplomatie 2026

As a leading player in research and education in the field of international relations, Inalco will be taking part in the Fabrique de la diplomatie on 4 and 5 September, alongside numerous organisations and stakeholders in the field of international affairs. Organised by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, this free event – open to all – offers an immersive experience at the heart of major international issues and careers in diplomacy. Come and play the serious game ‘Monitoring and Strategies’! A disinformation campaign is targeting France. Time is running out and the clues are piling up. Will you be able to identify the attack and fight back? Step into the shoes of diplomats from the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and discover what goes on behind the scenes in the fight against information manipulation and foreign interference.

[Workshop] DÉCRIPT: presentation of the initial findings from the research programme and mapping of civilisational narratives (2.30 pm–4.00 pm, Room B307)

There is no better tool than a map for facilitating a quick understanding of complex issues. But how do you map crises or narratives? How do you select relevant indicators, translate them into data, and choose a visualization that is both clear and meaningful? The DÉCRIPT program team will share visual representations of the work carried out with Sciences Po’s mapping workshop, reflecting on the many methodological and conceptual questions that have shaped this project.

Aboubakr Chraïbi, professor in pre-modern Arabic literature at Inalco and specialist in *The Thousand and One Nights*. A former scientific advisor for PAUSE, he has been involved in welcoming students and researchers at risk.
