15:15–15:25 - A Mediterranean Perspective: Area Studies and Modern History to approach Well-Being in Europe
Dr Andreas Guidi, Associate Professor, Inalco University (EUniWell Champion 2025-2026)
This brief talk will present my research topics, linked to my experience as EUniWell Champion 2025-2026. I will argue that a Mediterranean historical perspective, connected to, but not limited to, Europe, is crucial to understanding many societal dynamics associated with well-being, such as migration, welfare, peace, and climate change. I will also argue for increasing the visibility of the humanities and area studies in EUniWell's agenda.

Prof. Julie A. Panagiolopoulou, University of Cologne
Prof. Theodoros Marinis, University of Konstanz
