Roma slavery in the Romanian principalities - five centuries of hidden European history

The exhibition is curated by Petre Petcuţ, historian and lecturer at Inalco and the University of Bucharest.

The exhibition "Roma Slavery in the Romanian Principalities - Five Hidden Centuries of History" traces the history of Roma slavery in Wallachia and Moldavia, from the XIVᵉ century to 1856.

It will be the subject of a double vernissage: in Paris on February 20, 2026 and in Bucharest on November 5, 2026.
