This film paints a portrait of one of Estonia’s most famous contemporary sculptors, Seaküla Simson, a colourful and endearing character. A veteran of the war in Afghanistan, he is unable to forget what he has been through: the past haunts him even in his dreams. The life of this artist, who appears cheerful, full of humour and mischief, is overshadowed by this psychological trauma as well as by alcoholism. The film offers a glimpse into the soul of a tormented artist with a complex inner life and presents his sculptures from an original perspective, providing a striking insight into his work and creative process.
