Second round table: cultural cooperation professions

Among the many career opportunities offered by Inalco's courses are cultural professions: audiovisual, cultural cooperation, publishing, museums, heritage, etc. The Service de l'événementiel et de l'action culturelle is organizing the 4th edition of a series of professional round tables on cultural professions.

Please join us for the second professional round table on cultural cooperation careers, featuring Inalco alumni.

Our speakers:

  • Christophe Gigaudaut: alumnus with a master's degree in Chinese, currently delegate for Francophone Affairs at the Direction des Nations-Unis, des Organisations internationales, des droits de l'Homme et de la Francophonie since September 1, 2023. In this capacity, he is the national correspondent for the OIF. Christophe Gigaudaut joined the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in 1999, and has held a variety of posts and headquarters positions: attaché for French in China (1999-2003), director of cultural establishments in Japan (2005-2008), chargé de mission at the Ministry's Asia-Oceania Division (2008-2010), cooperation and cultural action advisor in Taiwan (2010-2014), cooperation and cultural action advisor and director of the Institute in Romania (2014-2018), acting deputy director of culture, teaching, research and the network (2019) then cooperation and cultural action advisor again and director of the Institute in Cambodia (2020-2022). Christophe Gigaudaut holds a master's degree in Chinese language and civilization from Inalco. His research field was the Sinicization of Tibet. He spent a year studying at the United University of Sichuan (China) in 1994-1995.
  • Thomas Merkez: alumnus in Polish, currently project manager at the Polish Institute in Paris. After graduating with a degree in Polish from Inalco, Thomas Merkez quickly joined the team at the Polish Institute as head of literary, historical and social projects, where he has now been working for a year.
  • Manik Tadevosian: alumna in the international relations master's program, currently in charge of projects in the culture and solidarity partnerships division at the Institut Français de Paris
