Words in the face of massacre: expressing the inexpressible
This event is a poetry reading featuring two Palestinian women poets.
Amina Najib (engineer and committed citizen) and Houssam Bou Antoun (L2 student in Arabic at Inalco), welcome two Palestinian poetesses who came to France during the ongoing genocide. They embody a generation of writers and artists who, in recent years, have had to flee their homeland and who find, despite the circumstances, the strength to write to express a history, their own, but also and above all that of a people.
The role of poetry, and more broadly of writing and art, as means of expression, denunciation and resistance, will be at the heart of the exchanges.
The evening will conclude with folk songs, the heritage and pride of a deep history, a rich culture and a people who have chosen to live.
