One week to explore China’s internal dynamics and its global influence

The aim of this blended intensive programme is to provide students with analytical tools to understand contemporary transformations in China and its growing role in political, economic, and social arenas worldwide. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the programme explores key aspects of the Chinese political system, economic developments, and social challenges, as well as China’s international strategies within a changing geopolitical context.

Participants will engage in theoretical courses and interactive workshops, analyze real case studies, and develop critical thinking to better grasp current trends related to China’s rising global influence. Discussions around films and cultural visits will complement the academic components to provide both academic and immersive perspectives.

The programme is open to students interested in Chinese studies, international relations, or contemporary transformations in China. It is designed for students from advanced undergraduate (e.g., third year) to Master’s and Doctoral level, and no prior specialization in Chinese studies is required.
