Distance learning Language Diplomas in Slovak
Slovak, which became one of the official languages of the European Union in May 2004, is a young language. It belongs to the West Slavic languages like Czech, Polish and Sorbian, but also has some features in common with South and East Slavic languages.
The language diplomas form a coherent three-year curriculum. Each year of study leads to the award of a diploma: the DL1 (CERCL level achieved: A1), the DL2 (CERCL level achieved: A2), and the DL3 (CERCL level achieved: B1).

This course is designed primarily for people who are not looking for a national diploma. It enables you to learn Slovak in depth and acquire some knowledge about Slovakia and its culture.
First-year courses are designed for absolute beginners. No prior knowledge of the language is required. People who already have some knowledge of the language can apply for direct admission to DL2, or 3, depending on their level (check with the training manager).
