International Master of Armenian Studies by distance learning
The degree awarded is the Master's degree in Foreign and Regional Languages, Literatures and Civilizations (LLCER) Eurasia/Armenian, "International Master's in Armenian Studies", with 120 credits recognized at European level.
The IMAS Master's program meets a demand for high-level Armenological degree courses, online and without French prerequisites. It makes the skills and experience of a prestigious interdisciplinary teaching team accessible to a large number of students worldwide. It is a unique opportunity for experienced Armenian speakers to practice their intellectual and professional skills in Western Armenian (a diaspora language) in a class of students from all over the world. This course is aimed in particular at professionals or future professionals in the socio-cultural and educational milieu of the Armenian diaspora.
Admission requirements (including prerequisites) are specified in the brochure available on the Inalco website. In particular, a level of Armenian (Eastern or Western) competence C1 (autonomous) from the European Language Portfolio is required. No other language prerequisites are imposed.

Teaching method
The program is delivered in the Armenian language, mostly Western. It is accessible entirely by distance learning (synchronous and asynchronous), or in hybrid distance + face-to-face mode depending on the course. Course materials, recordings and associated resources are available to students registered for each course on Inalco's Moodle platform. Asynchronous courses are combined with a variable number of synchronous meetings. For synchronous courses, schedules are intended to be compatible with UTC -7 (California) to UTC +4 (Armenia) time zones, i.e., as far as possible, between 3pm and 8pm Paris time.

Assessment is mainly by continuous assessment; in the case of final exams, a session is scheduled in January (semester 1) and a session at the end of May-beginning of June (semester 2), as well as a make-up session (second chance) at the end of June.
