The L1+ pathway
In addition to the traditional bachelor's degree, Inalco is offering a specific bachelor's degree which is designed to help students succeed. As such, the L1+ programme is a tailored study programme comprising teaching modules (UE) common to the standard LLCER L1 (UE1 and UE2) and a combined UE3, known as ‘UE3 Licence+’, comprising one or more modules from the standard bachelor’s degree (‘regional modules’) and all modules specific to the L1+ programme (‘Licence+ programme modules’).
First year of the bachelor’s degree in one year.
Who is the L1+ success path for?
It is addressed to students who have received a "Yes if" response on Parcoursup with the obligation to register in the L1+ pathway with the accommodation code AM19.
Registrations
There are two types of registration: administrative registration (IA), which validates your enrolment at Inalco, and pedagogical registration (IP), which takes place at the start of the academic year and allows you to register the courses you have taken, whether compulsory or chosen.
Once you have done your administrative registration (IA), please proceed to your pedagogical registration (IP) online.

Who should I contact if I have a question about enrolment?

L1+ program presentation
There are two ways of doing the first year of the bachelor's degree at Inalco: either by joining the classic course, or by joining the Licence+ programme, which is itself divided into two specialised courses, the L1+ course and the Tempo course.
Students enrolled on the L1+ pathway must therefore take a limited and defined number of courses from the traditional licence in UE3, as well as 3 teaching modules integrated into the licence+, which are common to the L1+ and Tempo pathways.
These common courses are combined in three specific modules:
Module for personalising the study programme:
Students receive individual support from a director of studies in the L1+ and Tempo programmes (study plans, career guidance). Two appointments required per year.
Training module (compulsory courses) - (more details below)
Personalised support module (compulsory courses) - (more details below)
- Language or civilisation tutoring
- And one of the compulsory courses listed below, allocated by the REVE office on the basis of the placement tests (test dates are shown at the bottom of this page)
Once their L1+ programme has been approved, students may enrol in the second year of the Bachelor’s degree.
COURSES SPECIFIC TO THE L1+ AND TEMPO PATHWAYS
COURSES SPECIFIC TO THE L1+ AND TEMPO PATHWAYS
COURSES IN THE TRAINING MODULE
"Tools" course
The aim of the ‘Tools’ course is to help students acquire the basic tools they need to succeed in their studies, forge links with the university and gain confidence. (Semester 1 only)
"Anatomy of a language and culture" course
This course aims to explore languages and cultures in depth, while focusing on the practical aspects of academic methodology. It provides a dynamic space where participants can share their views, discover new cultures and collaborate on intercultural projects, in a setting conducive to learning and personal development.
COURSES IN THE PERSONALISED SUPPORT MODULE
Allocation of a compulsory course from among those listed below, determined by the Student Success Service (REVE), on the basis of the results of the English and French tests that students must take in September, before the start of the course.
"French" course
This course provides training in basic French skills. It is aimed at students who need to improve their French in order to carry out the reading, analysis and writing tasks that will be required of them as part of their degree course.
"Methodology support" course
A course to help you acquire the methodological structure needed to complete university assignments (presentation, dissertation, commentary) and better understand the expectations and requirements of teachers.
"Writing" course
Focusing on the practice of writing, this course leaves plenty of room for freedom and imagination. Often multilingual, the writing activities on offer will enable students to use the languages they learn, speak or love, and to discover how languages and scripts change and evolve. The course also aims to question the relationship between languages and linguistic norms, to strengthen the ability to defend a personal and sensitive point of view, to discover literature in a different way, through a back-and-forth between practice and theory, and to gain confidence and improve speaking skills.
"English" course
This course aims to strengthen or perfect students' English skills: grammar, written and oral comprehension and expression.
Tutoring in language and/or civilisation
Tutoring sessions (approximately 1h30 per week) throughout the year, in language and/or civilisation, to provide students with personalised support according to the linguistic or methodological difficulties encountered during their course of study.
