Intensive courses: learn an Oriental language before summer

Inalco is offering beginners two intensive training courses with qualified and experienced teachers. These small-group courses will run from June 5 to July 4, 2026 for the distance learning sessions, and from June 29 to July 3, 2026 for the face-to-face sessions at Inalco.
Online registration is open from April 3 to May 17, 2026.

Intensive face-to-face or distance learning introductory courses (30h)

Level 1.1 (absolute beginner) and level 1.2 (false beginner)

Learn literal Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Japanese, Persian, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, or any other language taught in initial training at Inalco subject to a minimum number of trainees.
The course will take place over a full week face-to-face or over 5 consecutive weekends distance learning.

In presential, from June 29 to July 3, 2026 from 10am to 5pm, i.e. 6 hours per day on site at Inalco.
In distanciel, from June 5 to July 4, 2026, Fridays from 6pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Zoom.

Distance learning intensive dialect courses (25h)

For complete beginners

Initiate yourself in Arabic dialects (Algerian, Egyptian, Moroccan or Syrian-Lebanese) from June 5 to July 4, 2026 subject to a minimum number of trainees: Friday evenings from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The course will take place in small groups (9 to 15 participants) and entirely remotely on Zoom.

If the language for which you would like to take a course does not appear in the main menu of the online training kiosk, please select the "other languages" category.
This choice will associate your registration request with the desired language you will have entered when creating your account. The definitive opening of each course will be confirmed once registration has closed.
If the group you have registered for is not open, you will be offered an alternative, or failing that, a refund.
