Inalco offers beginners a range of intensive courses with qualified, experienced teachers. These small-group courses will run from January 9 to February 7, 2026 for the distance learning sessions, and from January 12 to 16, 2026 for the face-to-face sessions at Inalco.
Registration is open from November 10 to December 7, 2025.

Intensive introductory face-to-face or distance courses (30h)

Level 1.1 (absolute beginner) and level 1.2 (false beginner)

Learn literal Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Japanese, Persian, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, or any other language taught in initial training at Inalco subject to a minimum number of trainees.

The course will take place over a full week face-to-face or over 5 consecutive weekends distance learning.

Face-to-face, from January 12 to 16, 2026 from 10am to 5pm, i.e. 6 hours per day on site at Inalco.
Distance learning, from January 9 to February 7, 2026, on Fridays from 6pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays from 9:30am to 1pm on Zoom.
