Marie Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (Horizon Europe - European Commission)
Inalco encourages top-level postdoctoral researchers of all nationalities to apply for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships) under the European Commission's Horizon Europe program.
These individual grants support research projects carried out within an international mobility framework, to enable recipients to acquire new skills and develop their scientific careers. Two types of fellowship are offered:
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships (12 to 24 months) for a project hosted in an institution located in an EU member state or a country associated with Horizon Europe;
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships (24 to 36 months), comprising a research phase in a third country followed by a mandatory 12-month return phase in an institution in the EU or an associated country.
Why choose Inalco as a host institution?
Inalco is a unique institution in Europe which teaches and conducts research on the languages and societies of Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, Africa and the peoples of the Americas, as well as on the geography, history, institutions and political, economic and social dynamics of the countries concerned.
Research is supported by 14 teams, half of which are under joint supervision with CNRS and IRD, covering all cultural areas and humanities and social sciences disciplines (history, anthropology, sociology, geography, political science, economics, linguistics and literature). This environment fully supports the priorities of MSCA actions:
-
Scientific excellence and innovation, thanks to internationally recognized teams;
-
Interdisciplinarity and international openness, at the crossroads of cultural areas and disciplines;
-
Training and career development, via the acquisition of scientific, pedagogical and cross-disciplinary skills;
-
Impact and dissemination of results, in connection with international academic and institutional networks.
Conducting an MSCA project at Inalco means benefiting from a research framework of excellence, conducive to international mobility and the structuring of an ambitious postdoctoral career path.
Getting in touch

Enhanced support through the MSCA Meet-Up program of Réseau Recherche Europe
As part of the HARVEST project, Inalco is participating in Réseau Recherche Europe (RRE), a consortium bringing together several leading research and higher education institutions: Université Paris Cité, Inalco, Sciences Po, IPGP, Inserm, Inria, Institut Pasteur and IRD.
Réseau Recherche Europe offers specific support for applying for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships).
This support consists of a two-day working seminar in Paris (MSCA Meet-Up) for postdoctoral candidates wishing to submit an MSCA PF proposal with one of the network's member institutions, including Inalco.
This stay will enable participants to:
-
Work intensively on their MSCA project;
-
Exchange with their supervisor;
-
Get to know their future host institution better;
-
Benefit from methodological and strategic advice to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of their application.
Travel and accommodation costs in Paris will be covered by Réseau Recherche Europe for selected applicants, on the basis of a pre-proposal corresponding to the expectations of the MSCA PF call.
