Maxime Audinet awarded the Ordre national du mérite

He was awarded a knighthood by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) for his research into Russia's influence strategy.

He was decorated by Frédérick Douzet, University Professor at the French Institute of Geopolitics at Paris 8 University and Director of the Geode Center, alongside his colleague Kevin Limonier.

In his speech, he made a point of thanking those who have accompanied and supported him throughout his career. Through this decoration, he wished to celebrate several collective achievements, such as the legitimization as research objects of Russia's strategy of influence and informational interference, as well as the necessary renewal of Russian studies in the context of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine proposed by the CORUSCANT collective, which he co-founded in 2023.

Maxime Audinet has been a junior professor and holder of the "Stratégies d'influence et de contre-influence en contexte numérique" chair at Inalco since December 2025. He is a member of the Centre de recherche Europes-Eurasie (CREE) and teaches in the International Relations (RI) and Intercultural and International Communication (Com2i) streams at Inalco.
