Contenu central

This periodic meeting is intended to enable specialists in the field to exchange their unpublished work, both recent and in progress, and to encourage possible collaborations. Submissions are accepted in all subfields of Armenian linguistics (non-exhaustive list):

  • phonetics,
  • morphology,
  • syntax,
  • etymology,
  • pragmatics and discourse,
  • lexicology,
  • dialectology,
  • sociolinguistics,
  • transmission, acquisition and didactics,
  • automatic language processing.

In addition to the intrinsic scientific quality of submissions, the topicality of the topics addressed as well as the fact that they have not been the subject of previous publication will be a criterion for their acceptance by the scientific committee.

The thematic session "Digital Armenian"

A poster session (1h), combined with two round-table discussions (2 × 1h), will highlight recent advances in the automatic processing of Armenian, in computer vision applied to heritage, and in the digitization, structuring and dissemination of linguistic and cultural data. This session will welcome contributions on projects in progress, intermediate or complete results in the field of digital humanities for the Armenian language: constitution of databases, creation of online corpora, annotation tools, methods for extracting, analyzing and enhancing heritage documents, etc. Representative applications include automatic recognition of Armenian manuscripts, assisted transcription and lemmatization of ancient or dialectal texts, indexing and segmentation of audiovisual archives, 3D reconstruction of monuments, detection of epigraphic and ornamental motifs, and the creation of collaborative platforms for lexical and dialectological exploration.

Recommendations to authors:

  • be submitted in duplicate, one anonymized, the other including the name, title and affiliation as the author wishes them to appear on the program

  • have a maximum length of two pages, including examples and references

  • be submitted to https://ical13.sciencesconf.org/ (before submitting a proposal, an account must be created on the platform)
