7th study day on Finno-Ugric languages

Scientific event presentation
This event is designed to provide a meeting place for French-speaking linguists working on one or more Finno-Ugric languages. After a twelve-year hiatus, it follows on from the study days organized first by the Centre interuniversitaire d'études hongroises (CIEH), then by the Centre interuniversitaire d'études hongroises et finlandaises (CIEH-CIEFi) until 2013.
Invited speakers: We are delighted to welcome three speakers, representing different branches of Finno-Ugric studies, who will each offer a paper:
Svetlana Edygarova, University of Helsinki, Permian languages,
Emese Fazakas, Babeș-Bolyai University, Kolozsvár (Cluj), Hungarian linguistics,
Riho Grünthal, University of Helsinki, Fennic languages.
Interventions
The remainder of the program is devoted to a variety of papers with the aim of taking stock of Francophone research on Finno-Ugric languages. A dozen papers have been selected, including those from students engaged in Master's research. Many fields of linguistics are represented:
- phonology, morphology, syntax,
- discourse analysis and semantics,
- descriptive or theoretical approaches,
- diachronic or synchronic linguistics, etc.
