On this occasion, Professor Emmanuel Lozerand will give a lecture-event entitled "Faire les Langues O'!".

In it, he will trace the history of Inalco from the perspective of those who are its raison d'être: the students. For over two centuries, what has driven entire generations to learn an "oriental language"? Through this questioning, he will draw portraits of exceptional figures who have marked the establishment and show how, over time, all have been driven by the same desire for elsewhere.

You can then explore the historic building at 2 rue de Lille, a veritable showcase of art and memory. Finally, to bring the evening to a warm and convivial close, we'll share a cocktail in the salons of the Maison de la Recherche.

At this meeting, you'll also discover two associations:

  • Les Jeunes Amis de Guimet, which brings together art lovers and professionals united to ensure the influence of the Musée National des Arts Asiatiques, and offers discounts for curious students and art consumers who wish to join them;
  • Promethei - Association des étudiants de la filière Relations internationales de l'Inalco, which enables students from different specialties to familiarize themselves with international relations through several activities such as press reviews, Model United Nations, lecture circles and eloquence workshops.

Don't hesitate and sign up soon, places are limited!
