The Inalco Foundation is revamping its governance structure and embarking on a new phase of its development

The Inalco Foundation is entering a new phase in its development with the renewal of its Board of Trustees and the election of Hubert Bazin as its Chair. Bringing together representatives from Inalco and qualified individuals, this new governing body will support the Foundation’s development in pursuit of its objectives: to support teaching, research and the preservation of linguistic and cultural heritage, as well as to promote Inalco’s reputation in France and internationally.

Hubert Bazin, the new president of the Inalco Foundation

Elected President of the Inalco Foundation, Hubert Bazin is a member of the Paris Bar and a partner at LPA Law. He practised for over twenty years in China, where he advised French and European companies on their establishment and expansion projects, as well as Chinese companies on their investments in France and Europe. A specialist in international economic relations and recognised for his expertise in Asian markets, he is now putting his experience at the service of the Inalco Foundation to support its development and strengthen its influence both in France and internationally. 

He succeeds Philippe Advani, whose presidency oversaw the Foundation’s early years of development. The Inalco Foundation would like to express its sincere thanks to him for his exceptional commitment and dedicated work in furthering its objectives.

Governance that supports the Foundation’s ambitions

The new Board of Trustees brings together representatives from Inalco and qualified individuals from complementary backgrounds, who are putting their expertise to work to further the Foundation’s development.

At the end of this new term of office, the Foundation’s Executive Committee is composed as follows:

To continue developing the Foundation

Working alongside the Board of Trustees, this new governance structure will continue the initiatives undertaken by the Inalco Foundation to support the institution’s major projects. Whether it be supporting students, promoting research, preserving linguistic and cultural heritage, or strengthening partnerships with patrons and business leaders, the Foundation will continue to work to promote the world’s languages and civilisations.
