The Languages and Societies master's degree courses

The "Languages and Societies" master's degree is divided into two courses:

  • Intercultural Communication, Social Organizations and New Media (CICOM)
  • Communication for development (C4D)

These courses aim to train graduates who will be able to identify, analyze and deal with a problem in a variety of professional fields touching on the field of interculturality (traditional and digital communication, public relations, events...). They are characterized, on the whole, by stronger links with the socio-professional world, as well as an advanced command of one or more foreign languages.
.

The "Languages and Societies" master's program is both disciplinary and professionally oriented. It focuses on the development of operational skills and entry into working life: each year, students are required to complete a compulsory internship, either in France or abroad. These internships lead them to put into practice the theoretical and linguistic knowledge acquired during the current academic year, and enable them to take their first steps in the professional sector of their choice.

Admission campaign open until the end of May

As each of the two courses is only open to a limited number of students (generally between 25 and 30 enrolled per intake and course), selectivity is high. The application campaign runs from April 25 to May 30, 2020 exclusively on the digital platform eCandidat. Would you like to submit your application? Check out here the admissions procedure.

The CFI program

Created in 1989, Inalco's Communication et Formation Interculturelles (CFI) program offers students advanced training in the communication of organizations (public, private, territorial, political, teaching and research, heritage, etc.), in digital communication ecosystems, and in approaches and methodologies for setting up communication projects (i.e. campaigns), while deepening their knowledge of a language and a cultural/geographical area taught at Inalco.
