Event organized as part of Inalco's Environment Bachelor's degree thematic course, in partnership with the ANR-DFG EnviroHealth research project.

The round table will be dedicated to the special issue of the Italian journal of contemporary history Contemporanea "Water, Power, Politics" (n°2, 2022) : coordinator Giacomo Parrinello (Centre d'histoire de Sciences Po, Paris), author Nathalia Capellini (Graduate Institute Geneva) and Cyrian Pitteloud (Centre de recherches sur le Japon & Centre de recherches historiques, EHESS / Université de Lille)) will present their approaches and the results of their work on rivers in Italy, Japan and Brazil. The discussion will focus on the contributions and recent perspectives of research in environmental history and "water history" (Water history) for understanding contemporary worlds.

The discussion will be moderated by Marie Aberdam (CASE, Inalco) and Laurent Coumel (CREE, Inalco)
