On September 2-3, 2022, Inalco hosted the China in Europe Research Network (CHERN) conference entitled "China in Europe in Times of Global Disruption". Funded by the COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) program from November 2019 to spring 2024, CHERN brings together around 250 researchers from different disciplines working on China in Europe, from over 40 countries. CHERN is structured into 5 working groups that respectively analyze China's actions in Europe in the sectors of infrastructure, high technology and innovation, finance, real estate and services, public diplomacy and knowledge production, as well as migration and labor.
Master's and research seminar: "History, politics and culture in medieval Europe" 2022-2023

This collective seminar takes a multidisciplinary approach (history, cultural history, political science, geography, sociology) to a trans-regional theme chosen for the year. With no language prerequisites, it is open to all. It can be taken by Inalco master's (UE2 or UE4) or doctoral students, as well as by students from other establishments, within the framework of agreements with Inalco, or as a master's or doctoral minor, and is worth 4 ECTS per semester.

Jean-François Huchet, President of Inalco, signed a partnership agreement with Dominique Largaud, regional delegate of Apec Ile-de-France, on Wednesday September 28, 2022. The agreement will provide Inalco students and alumni with support for their professional integration, based on Apec's expertise in the executive job market.

As part of their "China and war: concepts and practices" series, IRSEM and Inalco are organizing a round-table discussion on tools and methods for thinking about the risk of war in the Taiwan Strait. The aim of this meeting is to establish a dialogue between disciplines, and between research and practice, in order to examine this risk. New configurations of conflict below the threshold require us to do things differently, which means first and foremost thinking differently. The aim of this round table is therefore to initiate reflection by bringing together experts from a variety of backgrounds, and to address theoretical approaches and practical tools as diverse as geopolitics, philosophy, history, fiction, analysis of representations, theorizations of hybrid warfare, OSINT, military analysis tools, anticipation...
