Since its installation on rue de Lille in 1873, the historic building of the Ecole des Langues Orientales, now the Maison de la Recherche de l'Inalco, has undergone several major architectural transformations. The National Archives have restored and digitized the plans of the successive architects. This heritage collection is now available on the France Archives portal.

The Assises de la recherche de l'Inalco, held from January 22 to 24, 2025 at the Maison de la recherche, was a key moment for reflection and scientific exchange. To draw lessons from the local elections in Uttar Pradesh, a laboratory for Hindu nationalism, Inalco and Asialyst, in partnership with Forums France Inde, are hosting a conference on Wednesday March 23 at 6.30pm in the Inalco auditorium, 65 rue des Grands Moulins, 75013 Paris. The debate will also be broadcast live on YouTube Live. Registration is free but mandatory.
