The 1st FFJ/Christian Polak Prize awarded by the Fondation France Japon de l'EHESS went to Sania Carbone for her dissertation "L'urbanisation autour des complexes monastiques à l'époque médiévale" ("Urbanization around monastic complexes in medieval times"), directed by Laurent Nespoulous (Inalco). The prize is awarded each year for the best Master's theses on Japan.
