The colloquium examines field conditions in Mongolia and their recent evolution, with a view to shedding reflexive and contemporary light on the conditions of production of field knowledge in changing contexts. The thematic sessions are also intended to lay the foundations for a comparative perspective that may also be of interest to young or more experienced researchers from other Asian regions, and more broadly to anyone interested in these issues.

In 2020, Inalco received a gift from Japanese sculptor KINJŌ Minoru, a committed artist born in 1939 in East Okinawa. His body of work recounts the Battle of Okinawa and the suffering endured by minorities in Japanese society.

Born of the desire to open up a space for exchange and discovery around the challenges of teaching and learning foreign languages, this symposium aims to compare the research work carried out within the DPFcc laboratory (Didactics of Training Projects and Curricula Design), University of Mostaganem, Algeria, and the PLIDAM laboratory (Plurality of Languages and Identities: Didactics - Acquisition - Mediations), Inalco, France, by bringing together researchers and young researchers from other partner universities.

On the occasion of the publication in France of the novel "La légende du chaman" (Jentayu, 2024) by the writer and poet Gün G. Ayurzana, a meeting on the translation of Mongolian literature is organized in the presence of the author as well as L. Ulziitugs, poet and writer, and R. Munkhzul, their translator. Event organized by the Mongolian Section and the Society for Mongolian and Siberian Studies.
