The Inalco Multilingual Short Story Competition 2021 announces its winners

Supported by the Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF) and supported by Inalco's Student Success department, the second edition of the Inalco Multilingual Short Story Competition came to a close last November, attracting great interest from French-speaking students around the world. The winners were announced at the awards ceremony on March 14, 2021.

When you register for a language course for adults, you'll be asked to select the level you'd like to join. Unless you're a complete beginner (level 1), you'll need to take a self-assessment test to get into the right level. Find your language and click on the level you wish to test.

Inalco organizes numerous conferences during the academic year, covering a wide range of topics: the economic, political and social situations of geographical and cultural areas, social issues, current affairs, as well as linguistic policies, language sciences, social sciences and more. One or more specialists speak on these subjects. These conferences are open to the general public, enabling everyone to grasp the political, economic, social and environmental issues of the regions concerned.
Intangible Cultural Heritage Days 2025 - Textile arts

The Journées du patrimoine culturel immatériel (JPCI - Intangible Cultural Heritage Days) celebrate living cultural practices handed down from generation to generation and classified by UNESCO, in connection with Inalco's cultural areas. For its third edition, Inalco will be honoring the textile arts and their know-how through a series of round tables, evening events and fun workshops, where academics and the general public will be able to take up the challenges of the heritage of the textile arts.

An interdisciplinary MOOC to learn how to manage, publish, document and share research data in areal studies. Accessible to all and free of charge, it will run from October 6 to December 20, 2025. Registration is open until November 18, 2025.

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of our colleague Hachem Foda. The burial ceremony will take place in the strict privacy of the family, and a register of condolences will be open at the Inalco reception desk for those who wish to pay their last respects.
