Since January 2023, Inalco has had a Comité Histoire des Langues O', which aims to conduct research into the history of the institution, in its entirety, and in its relationship to intellectual, political and social developments in France and the world. The aim of this round-table is to consider the issues and methods involved in such an ambitious historical project.

The Schéma Directeur de la Vie Étudiante, drawn up for a five-year period (2023-2028) and voted on by the Inalco Board of Directors at the end of June, aims to define, structure and plan the actions to be implemented for everything to do with student life. The document brings together 19 strategic axes, 11 themes and 113 actions grouped under 3 key words: inclusivity, well-being and commitment.
Master's and research seminar: "History, politics and culture in medieval Europe" 2023-2024

This collective seminar takes a multidisciplinary approach (history, cultural history, political science, geography, sociology) to a trans-regional theme chosen for the year. With no language prerequisites, it is open to all. It can be taken by Inalco master's (UE2 or UE4) or doctoral students, as well as by students from other establishments, within the framework of agreements with Inalco, or as a master's or doctoral minor, and is worth 4 ECTS per semester.

As the mass medium of the 20th century, cinema - whether it serves an official narrative, confronts it or explores individual histories and memories - is a privileged place for observing the tensions and forces at play in writing the history of conflict and mass violence. In this cycle of screenings followed by discussions, we will look at films as documents and actors in the historiographical debates and battles specific to Central, Eastern and Balkan Europe under communist or authoritarian regimes and after their fall.
