Call for applications -International research residency program - DECRIPT Program - 2025 Edition

This call for applications will fund up to 20 one-month research residencies per year to conduct research in collaboration with the program's teams and consortium member institutions and to participate in exchanges with its partners. During their stay, researchers must propose to conduct or formalize high-level academic research related to the program's core scientific question on civilizational narratives and/or civilizationnism, in connection with one of its five thematic areas and/or its methodological area (see description below). During their stay, participants will be expected to contribute to the program's publications, conferences, and/or public events.

The aim of this study day is to examine Jewish theater in all its forms of expression, both linguistic and aesthetic, from an anthropological perspective. To close the day, the "La Citadelle dystopique" theater company will present a performance of Jewish theater texts.
Natacha Roudeix receives Simon Fraser University Dean's Convocation Medal

Natacha Roudeix, as a doctoral student in Inalco and in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University (SFU), is recognised with the Dean of Graduate Studies Convocation Medal in June for her thesis "Who are we, where are we going?⸱kinakkuuvita, namungngasivitaa? Language biographies of multilingual Kuujjuammiut: a territory, lives, voices, objects and encounters". She defended her thesis as part of a co-tutelle between SFU and Inalco. She now holds doctorates from both institutions and both countries. We share here the SFU article dedicated to her.

Within the Europe-Eurasia axis of the DÉCRIPT program (WP 7) dedicated to the study of Crises and Civilizational Narratives through Pluridisciplinarity and Terrains, this cycle of seminars aims to question the singularity of the productions, circulations and receptions of these concepts and civilizational narratives in a region marked by a shared past of multinational empires, socialist experimentation and sometimes difficult integration into the liberal international order.
