Workshop "The Belt and Road Initiative Revisited: Times for Restart?", November 18

The aim of this workshop is to analyze the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative project since its launch in mid-2010, and to assess the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine on its implementation and development, through the presentation of various case studies. It is the fruit of collaboration between the BRImpact research group (IFRAE/Inalco and ACA2K/Université de Bordeaux Montaigne and Université de La Rochelle) and the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Marcella Rubino's field mission: A survey of literary spaces in Khartoum (October 1 to 11, 2022)

The aim of the 11-day field trip was to establish an overview of literary life in Khartoum, by visiting most of the cultural spaces offering literature-related activities and interviewing their managers.

Scholarships for the International Master in Armenian Studies (IMAS)

The IMAS Master's degree is a unique distance learning program in Armenian Studies, taught in the Armenian language. It aims to deepen knowledge of the Armenian language, culture, realities and discourses. A scholarship program run by the Inalco Foundation with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation was launched this year to contribute to the tuition fees of international students in this master's program.

Les journées macédoniennes" international symposium. Macedonian studies: a rare discipline, November 30

This colloquium, organized by the Macedonian Studies section and the PLIDAM team (Inalco), will present the "rare discipline" label obtained for Macedonian Studies as part of a project to map rare disciplines sponsored by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESRI). It will also celebrate 60 years of teaching Macedonian at Inalco.
