The focus is on the place and uses of translation (from an Asian language to a European language, but also from literature to other media) as an indispensable means of access to literature written in languages that are difficult or inaccessible, but also to literature in general; Whether in secondary or higher education, translators or comparatists, drawing on their experience of teaching, translating and transmitting the literatures of various Asian areas (China, Korea, India, Japan, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam), share their difficulties or questions and put forward proposals to contribute to a future theorization and modeling of the didactics of foreign literature, where translation would have its rightful place.
