In 1870, as the French and Prussian armies clashed, the École impériale des langues orientales went through a period of transformation. Indeed, 1869 saw the temporary relocation of the establishment to the Collège de France, where the administrator's apartment was temporarily vacant, and the adoption of an imperial decree transforming its operation. It was against this backdrop that Langues O' found itself embroiled in the turmoil of the double siege of Paris.

In partnership with secondary schools in Île-de-France, Aquitaine and Eure-et-Loir, Inalco took part in the Cordées de la réussite program in 17 schools this year. This project aims to encourage secondary school students - particularly those from priority education networks or rural areas - to pursue their studies by introducing them to higher education and broadening their horizons.
