Launch of the MOOC for an introduction to Dongba, "the world's last living pictographic script".

This original MOOC, developed by Inalco (France), the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and BLCU (China), invites you to discover Dongba writing and the culture of the Naxi people (Yunnan, China). The multilingual version (French, English, Chinese and German) is open to researchers, students and the general public. Its aim is to transmit a highly original style of writing, and to enable everyone to contribute to the preservation of a unique cultural heritage classified as "Memory of the World" by UNESCO in 2003. The course runs from April 24 to June 26, 2023. Registrations are open until June 6, 2023 on the France Université Numérique platform.

For the first time, an election to directly elect three student representatives to the Conseil des formations et de la vie étudiante (CFVE) will be held from April 11 to 13. The CFVE's mission is to develop, coordinate and manage the training programs offered at Inalco (national bachelor's and master's degrees and institutional diplomas). The CFVE is responsible for developing, coordinating and managing Inalco's training programs (national bachelor's and master's degrees and institutional diplomas).

Accelerating philanthropy and continuing education: Inalco wins a 4.1 million euro Programme d'Investissement d'Avenir, to be operated by the Inalco Foundation.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death in Champigny-sur-Marne, on January 5, 2023, at the age of 90, of Anna Kokko-Zalcman, who taught Finnish at Langues O' from 1965 to 1998. She was the author of a legendary Finnish textbook (On tie..., 1974) that marked several generations of students.
