The inaugural conference will focus on medically assisted reproduction (MAP) in Japan, in the presence of Christine Clerici, President of the University of Paris. It will be followed by a debate on MAP in France and Japan, moderated by Isabelle Konuma, President of the Cité du Genre's Scientific and Educational Council, and a specialist in Japanese law (IFRAE, Inalco).

The Inalco jury of the 43rd Jean Rouch International Ethnographic Film Festival has awarded the Prix Mondes en regards to the film "Flickering Lights" by Anupama Srinivasan and Anirban Dutta (India) after a week of competition and 17 films viewed. The festival runs until May 24 in various cinemas and establishments dedicated to the human and social sciences, in Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis, pending the Regards comparés selection next November at Inalco.

The "Panorama sur la littérature pashto contemporaine en exil" (Panorama on contemporary Pashto literature in exile) study day offers a platform for reflection on the major issues of Pashto literature in the context of exile. With the support of the ANR-PLIC project (Pashto Literature between Identity and Contact, 2023-2028), this scientific meeting highlights the writing practices of Afghan writers in exile, exploring the complex themes of identity, exile and the role of literature in cultural preservation.
